As a student majoring in a School of Journalism & Graphic Communication program, one of your biggest responsibilities will be to ask questions and take advantage of resources so you can gather information to help you complete your coursework, projects and requirements.
To help you get started on the right path, we’ve already gathered common policies, tools, tips and form links you may need as you progress through the program. We also have gathered a list of key contacts who can help you with advisement, internships, navigating the curriculum, and more.
Use the links below to help you understand and successfully take part in our processes. The below list includes forms you need for changing your major, requesting an excused absence, filing a grievance or complaint, graduation preparation, etc.
The below links are archives of curriculum guides for our journalism and public relations programs from fall 2018 to summer 2022. These guides are specifically for students who were admitted during this period. If you were admitted from fall 2022 onwards, please refer to the latest guides provided by your academic advisors and division directors.
As noted in Florida statute (1007.25), every first-time-in-college (FTC) student initially entering a Florida College System institution or state university in 2018-2019 and all following academic years must demonstrate competency in civic literacy.
