William Jiles

William T. Jiles is the Executive Assistant to the Dean/Instructor at the Florida A&M University School of Journalism & Graphic Communication.

A native of Tallahassee, Florida and graduate of Florida A&M, Jiles is a veteran broadcast journalist with a career spanning more than 20 years. During his career, Jiles received several awards, including the TARA Award for “Best Male Television Reporter” (West Palm Beach market) and the Florida School Board Association’s Media Award for “Excellent Coverage of Public Education.”

In 1997, Jiles launched his own public relations and TV production firm—Keltash Communications, Inc., which he named after his two children Kelvin and Tasha.  He successfully operated that business for more than 15 years, serving local and national clients, including Black Enterprise Magazine, Coca-Cola Company, E.D.S., The National Conference of Black Mayors, The National Brotherhood of Skiers, The Port of Palm Beach and The School District of Palm Beach County.  

Jiles is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.  He has served on numerous professional boards, including Artist Showcase of the Palm Beaches, Scholastic Achievement Foundation of Palm Beach County and Grassy Waters Preserve of West Palm Beach, FL.

Jiles earned a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism at FAMU and a Master of Arts degree in communication and leadership at Gonzaga University.
