Luke Buffenmyer

Assistant Professor of Graphic Design

Born in Chicago IL, Luke Buffenmyer earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Fine Arts from the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University. As a designer and visual artist, he works in a variety of mediums including print, web, painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, digital imaging and wood. Working concurrently on multiple projects, often combining various media. His work have been shown in many venues including the Macon Museum of Arts and Science, the Everson Museum of Art, Boston Center for the Arts, Hera Gallery, Lightwork and NK Gallery. He has worked and taught in New York, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Georgia before coming to Florida A&M University in January of 2020. Over the past twenty years he has taught a complete range of graphic design and photography courses as well as drawing, figure drawing, color and design, digital imaging and video
