By Sterling Bright

The School of Journalism and Graphic Communication has always been proud of the successes of our alumni. SJGC Alum Eric Winkfield is a premier example of this. On September 21st Eric Winkfield was appointed as Vice president of M Booth New York. With the addition of Winkfield and his expertise, M Booth hopes to become one of the most inclusive agencies in the world. As part of this position he will join the agency’s corporate practice and lead its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion across M Booth and M Booth Health.

On Tuesday, September 29, Winkfield and M Booth New York will discuss Public Relations, Internship opportunities and more. Via Zoom, Winkfield will lead the conversation, along with Director of Talent Amy Onori and Senior Digital Strategist Nya Peets

Winkfield got his start at Florida A&M University where he graduated with a degree in Public Relations. While at FAMU he even built himself up in the ranks and was a director for FAMU SJGC social media platforms.

After matriculating through SJGC he obtained his master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University. He even currently serves on the faculty and visiting committee at the WVU Reed College of Media. Where he has visited “The Hill” on several occasions to give back to our future Rattler Professionals.

M Booth prides itself on the words “Be Inspired”. This agency prides itself on being a firm that tries to attract the best talent while creating a culture of strong, courageous, and respectful colleagues.

Winkfield and M Booth hope to attract the next wave of ambitious and bright students. Join Winkfield this Tuesday at 2 p.m. for an informative Zoom session filled with great information, while giving students a chance to interact with alumni and ambitious professionals.
